For the extension of the Whitemouth Rural Water Pipeline to supply the Awanipark Condominium Corporation, in the Local Government District of Pinawa, with a potable drinking water supply.
The Council of the Local Government District of Pinawa has scheduled a public hearing at the W. B. Lewis Business Centre, 24 Aberdeen Avenue, Pinawa, MB on the 7th day of March, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. to present the following Local Improvement Plan.
In partnership with the Government of Canada, the Province of Manitoba and the Manitoba Water Services Board, the Local Government District of Pinawa has estimated the cost at approximately $1,100,400.00 for the entire project. The Local Government District of Pinawa has obtained a funding commitment from the Government of Canada in the amount of $262,500.00, the Province of Manitoba in the amount of $131,250.00 and the Manitoba Water Services Board for $11,600.00. The Local Government District of Pinawa has identified 58 properties that will be included in the project. The estimated cost at this time is $10,121.56 (vacant lot) or $882.44/year and $13,121.56 (occupied lot) or $1,144.00/year, if financed over twenty (20) years. More detailed information is included in Schedules A and B to By-law 834-18, which are attached.
A written objection may be filed with the Resident Administrator at the Local Government District of Pinawa Municipal Office located at 36 Burrows Road, Pinawa, MB, prior to the commencement of the hearing. At the hearing, Council will hear any potential taxpayer who wishes to make a presentation, ask questions or register an objection and the grounds of their objection.
