It was Manitoba’s first Hydro generating plant and marked the beginning of hydroelectric development on the Winnipeg River. The site was built in 1903. Later, much of the area was dismantled and the dam structure was used for artillery practice and so the majestic concrete ruins that greet you at the Pinawa Provincial Park resemble ancient Rome.
The Club stretches along the edges of the Winnipeg River and the Pinawa Channel. The 18-hole course that nature built has become one of the province’s premier golf venues.
Located in the midst of pristine wilderness beauty, the club also has a full restaurant, tennis court and curling court for tourist to enjoy.
