Fishing and Hunting

Fishing
Manitoba Angler's Guide

Along the Winnipeg River, you will find many places to cast a line from shore or boat launches that will take you out into the thick of things. You will find Walleye, Northern Pike, Goldeye, Perch, Bass, Sturgeon, Channel Cat, Lake White Fish, Crappie and Sturgeon in these waters. Walleye is the usual catch on the Winnipeg River.

There are two launching slips for powerboats and watercrafts, with plenty of parking available in the Sundial Parking lot.  Facilities at the launching slips include non-modern washrooms during the spring, summer and fall months.

Ice fishing is an exceptionally fun and rewarding way to spend a winter weekend in Pinawa.  Whether you get a fancy ice fishing tent, a full pull on ice shack or just a pail and extra heavy winter wear it all works.

Visit Pinawa Lund Mania for more information on our annual fishing derby.

Hunting
Manitoba Hunter's Guide
